Sometimes it is extremely difficult to detach ourselves from current problems/troubles and devote time only to God and ourselves. It is also hard to experience days of inner focus without the right environment.

The retreat house Domus Mater, a secluded spot in the city center, will provide you with peace and quiet. We warmly invite you to hold your retreat with us.

Domus Mater is a modern accommodation facility that can host about 80 people. It is an excellent place to organize both group and individual retreats. Located in Kraków-Płaszów, Domus Mater offers tranquility and silence, allowing you to fully experience days of retreat reflection. The facility has its own garden with flower-lined paths and a pond where you can stroll and enjoy nature in the big city. At the same time, tram and bus stops nearby provide excellent connections to the city center and popular pilgrimage sites like the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Łagiewniki.

You also have 24-hour access to the chapel, which can be used individually or in groups. Upon guests' request, a special Mass can be celebrated there. An interesting feature is the museum dedicated to Cardinal Stanisław Nagy, located on the building's first floor.

Domus Mater was established on the site of a former religious house of the Priests of the Sacred Heart (Sercans) and is still run by them, so it is no surprise that every room includes, among other things, a Bible for your use. The facility neighbors the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, home to the grace-filled image of Our Lady of Blessed Motherhood.
