What makes pilgrims willing to choose our facility? At least few factors. Secluded but still close to the city center with a possibility to get there directly, Domus Mater provides quiet harbor in a big city. It is situated close to the Sacred Heart church, which is also a Sanctuary of Our Lady of Płaszów, which allows to believe to be close to God. The building itself used to be the Polish Priests of the Sacred Heart monastery (its part is still used as a monastery) and guests rooms used to be monastic cells. In each room there is a Bible and a cross hanging on the wall. There is also a 24-hour open chapel in the building. You can talk to the priest individually and make a confession. In Domus Mater, there is a room sacred to the memory of Stanisław Nagy, the cardinal, the Priest of the Sacred Heart, who was a friend of the John Paul II for many years.
Domus Mater hosts individual pilgrims and organized groups of pilgrims. Convenient location of the pilgrim house makes it a perfect choice for those who want to visit places like: Devine Mercy Sanctuary, "Nie lękajcie się" John Paul II Centre in Kraków Łagiewniki, Church on the Rock and the St. Catherine church with St. Rita relics.
We offer a monitored and closed car park for cars and coaches, a garden with a patio and inside the building you can find a cafe, "Klasztorna” restaurant and a library.
Domus Mater is an ideal place for prayer and reflexion. Welcome to Domus Mater.
